Dresden Dolls & The Red Paintings ‘Mad World’ Roundhouse DVD

From The Dresden Dolls DVD, “Live at the Roundhouse” (in stores worldwide, NOW) — a cover of Tears For Fears “Mad World” with Trash McSweeney of The Red Paintings (http://www.myspace.com/theredpaintings ), live!
The DVD was recorded November 2006 at London’s recently restored Roundhouse, and is a visual feast featuring circus acts, gymnasts and cabaret dancers as well as the Dolls themselves, who create a set pulling from both records, as well as previously unreleased material. 2. MatthiasKirby says:

    This version of it …
This version of it seems to be more of the Gary Jules version as opposed to the Tears for Fears version

  3. AngryDaven says:

    I lol’d …
I lol’d uncontrolably at ‘steve irwin world’ that was out of nowhere.

    amazing song.

    OK, you want sense, …
OK, you want sense, everything is shit, your emotion, my too. Because it can be always something better. Good example is here Joseph Conrads’ book heart of darkness, but not exactly Apocalypse now which is based on this story. Read and you will partly understand, rest is in your mind

  5. mrfrillows says:

    Yeah I don’t know …
Yeah I don’t know if English is your first language but NO ONE understands you. You make no sense little bo-beep

  6. milionowski says:

    What?you know what …

cool, you are too. Who cares what I’m thinking about you and in the same way who cares that in your opinion it sounds like shit?

Oh, this song is a …
Oh, this song is a cover too? Yep, I definitely stand by what I said about lack or originality. Yawn.

  14. WankzRWanking says:

    Actually chaos, my …
Actually chaos, my original post, verbatim as above, was posted to the whales are dying video, and deleted by someone five times in a row – perhaps the PETA artsy crowd are just as capable of distortion and censorship as anyone- so I thought I’d post it where you fans could see. I stand by what I said.

  15. TripLxChaos says:

    this guy isnt even …
this guy isnt even posting to anything.. he posted the same thing on like five other videos all the red paintings. hes an idiot. so leave him be to his own stpidity lol

  17. Gerblyn says:

    Are you posting in …
Are you posting in the right place? I don’t really see what this video has to do with Whaling…

  18. WankzRWanking says:

    I actually agree …
I actually agree with saving whales, but what a pathetic and boring video. The irony here isn’t that Midnight Oil are having their song ripped off because Red Paintings think Peter Garrett is ‘able and unwilling’ to stop Japanese whaling, it’s that a group that prides itself on being ‘artists’ don’t have the originality and talent to write their own rocking protest anthem. Sad, trendy, artsy-fart wannabe revolutionaries. There are far bigger fish to fry (oops) than PG.

  19. leavelucktohell says:

    the original …
the original version isn’t very fast paced either, it’s by Tears for fears, those headbanging kids are stupid

  20. WestAuzHardDance says:

hey ok, i dont know …
hey ok, i dont know who posted that comment on this video, but i have a fair idea, only one other person knows the pasword to this utube accaunt, so ay he will be delt with. IM ZippO the leader of WAHD, and i can assure u i woldnt post anything like that on here. so i have removed it and i hope there are no hard feelings about this accurence. thanks and again my appologies!.

    Brian’s a …
    Brian’s a great drummer

  22. TripLxChaos says:

    i liked gary jules …
i liked gary jules version, though only made because of a movie, he put emotion into singing that might not have been real, but it was the first version i heard, when tears for fears sings it i consider it an original version of a song i havnt heard before only cuz of the major difference, and i love it. when thrash sings it here theres just something about his voice that makes it not so gary jules, maybe its the real emotion, maybe its just his voice, either way great performance

  23. TripLxChaos says:

    two little emo …
two little emo head banging eh? well last time i checked this wasnt gary jules version and last time i checked the original was very fast pased in comparrison, oh yea there were a lot of drums going on from brian and it was faster paced. your saying you didnt like the performance because a silly camera spotted to headbangers? :( i seriously almost cried for you, not quite, but almost

    no matter what haha =)
