    @Blackfish100
    - bah, I suppose I’m just busy fighting off all those anti-evolutionists trying to screw over science…
That, and my sister is an artist, used to use logic, and then became a theist… I ended up doing deep research into the history or art and came to the conclusion that the vast majority of ancient artists were either very theistic, mentally retarded, or both.

This video may not have anything theistic about it, but the history of art sure does.

  2. Blackfish100 says:

    Wow. You …
Wow. You anti-theists will appear anywhere won’t you? Seriously, what compelled you to come to a video about an art work of all things just to muck spread? This video doesn’t have anything to do with faith, theism, or anything remotely god-related. It’s no surprise you’ve already gotten a WTF response. If anything’s retarded Hypno, it’s you.

You even LOL in an …
You even LOL in an envious manner.

  5. jimsottile says:

    LOL
    LOL

  6. thejimmyzshow says:

    Look buddy, you’re …
Look buddy, you’re a snob – why don’t you just admit it? I’m happy to admit that you’re a snob. Art is for those who enjoy it. Why don’t you just admit you’re a snob, and you don’t like Eno’s art and be done with it? No, you are of the ilk that must denigrate the artist and those who enjoy their art – like pompous fans of ‘indie’ rock who jettison their band du jour when then start writing better songs and end up with hit records. *L* So stupid…

  7. jimsottile says:

    Now your just …
Now your just embarrassing yourself son. :D

  8. thejimmyzshow says:

    Actually, young …
Actually, young snob, you illustrated your pomposity, arrogance, and jealousy. As I said, if you had a career one-tenth as successful as Mr. Eno, with fans around the world who appreciated whatever it is YOU do, you wouldn’t be so negative. The gall of someone as inexperienced as you – I bet you voted for Obama. *L*

  9. jimsottile says:

    Thanks for making …
Thanks for making my point so beautifully. Cheers :)

  10. thejimmyzshow says:

    Quite a leap of …
Quite a leap of logic there, Einstein. You get out the thesaurus throw around crappola to see if anything will stick. You’re a zero. Art and the artist please who they will. It is envy you deal with. You should be so fortunate to have a lifetime of creative success as has Mr. Eno. Not likely with your attitude, son. *L*

  11. God4Dunoon says:

    yeh yeh and …
yeh yeh and rauschenberg is just modern dada and Duchamps his daddy forget the justification for art and enjoy the visual or space. I wish artists would burst their bubble of hubris once in a while and bow out gracefully….

  12. jimsottile says:

    Good thing then …
Good thing then that yes men are not the final arbiters of aesthetic philosophy and the semiotics of creative experience.

  13. thejimmyzshow says:

    I haven’t ever …
I haven’t ever known Eno to be anything less than original and inspired.

  14. jimsottile says:

    Well Eno is just …
Well Eno is just wrong – if that makes me a critic then so be it. When artists get to a certain age they begin to believe their own bullshit. I like BE but his take is highly unoriginal even if it’s with a TV.

  15. thejimmyzshow says:

    Always with the …
    Always with the critics…

  16. jimsottile says:

    Eno doesn’t really …
Eno doesn’t really understand what an artistic experience is. Every person who views the same piece of art of an art object comes to it with their own unique experience. It’s more subtle than what Eno says makes his process different than what he says an artist creates but has existed since Duchamp. Sorry Brian – this is just Rauchenberg with a TV monitor.

  17. krautsky says:

    I still don’t know …
I still don’t know how you can con volute faith and creativity. What has one to do with the other? What has the technology – nothing but a tool so far – to do with creativity? You can create quality with inferior tools.
The quality of your arguments however is beyond my comprehension.
If I perceive them as completely muddled, illogical, contrived, leading me to ignorance of what you are trying to say – maybe the problem rests with you.

  18. HypnoPants says:

    and yet, you sound …
and yet, you sound like a creationist… using an arguement from ignorance.

What I meant by my statements, is that most theists today believe that you should focus on faith(creativity for example can be both be influenced by faith, and influence faith indirectly)… rather than using logic or reason.

My statement was that Brian Eno does not rely completely on his creativity… that is what makes him the artist we know through technology.

  19. krautsky says:

    and they lived …
and they lived their lives by their retardation, hence, their art…

    you sound like borat.
where do you get your immense wisdom from?
hat actually do you mean by your statements.
    Noise, signifying nothing.

  20. HypnoPants says:

    Yes, he’s …
Yes, he’s creativity meets logic and reason… something most Theists have yet to do :D

Creativity is nice, but living your life by it is retarded… seriously, the best artists in history were retarded in one form or another, and they lived their lives by their retardation, hence, their art…

But art, or creativity in general, does not have to be seperate from logic, unlike many theists want you to believe.

  21. whiteertia says:

    This wonderful man …
This wonderful man is WAY BEYOND creativity..and off into another world! Look who he has worked with…U2, Talking Heads, Coldplay!
And now these beautiful paintings..I can’t wait to hear his talk- in Sept. it must be a mind-expander for sure!

  22. shlempnar says:

    unless you’re a …
unless you’re a lazy pessimist that can’t live without whining and doing nothing. if that’s anyone hear then just say peace to yourself right now. its gutsy shit, you gotta work.

  23. shlempnar says:

    wow. okay. how …
wow. okay. how about no. you are so far off. it’s called improvisation and creativity. if you aren’t smart enough to make art while you’re poor, than you’re not even meant to be an artist in general… my brother for instance… he schemed out this plan where he works a summer driving job. goes on unemployment insurance during the winters when touring is dead… and he snowboards all winter with great people that love life. sure he lives small, but he rips a fierce mountain. that’s his art.

  24. kazzm8 says:

    WOW That’s off the hook…
