I have an old, light grey canvas bag that I am putting into my washing machine. Should I select cold, and treat it like delicates, or hot like a sheet? It’s relatively dirty, never been washed before, and hand-washing not worth the effort.
I’d risk anything up to 40degC myself. But a good cold soak first might be worth the effort if that seems like it will loosen up the engrained dirt. My machine also has a button to add more water to the wash which helps – modern machines default to minimal water for environmental ratings.
Just wash it cold. If you wash it in hot it will shrink.
