Go to the Art gallery and ASK if they have any job openings.
be prepared to sweep floors and empty trash on a part-time basis, for several months, until you can prove yourself artistically — or until you can meet someone who wants to take you on as an "apprentice".
this is called "paying your dues" ALL artists have to do this. The advantage is that you MEET PEOPLE, and you show your willingness to work hard for low pay, until the right opportunity comes along.
they just dont hire anyone in a art gallery
u have to show off your work
maybe go to a art school first before getting a job there

Send an application to the art gallery governing body,covering all ur experience and competency in this field.Try to give political pressure in this matter.

As i know there is no job in gallery for artist.
The gallery people may have a contract with you to work for them.so for that create a beautiful portfolio having your details and photoes of your works and show them.you may get a chance!
